Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Go Anyway (“Go Anyway,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Go Anyway app on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Information the app uses
Location and motion information
Go Anyway uses your device’s location, compass heading, and related motion information to calculate the direction and distance to a destination, determine whether you are moving closer to or farther from it, and provide navigation status and haptic feedback.
This information is processed to provide the app’s core functionality. Go Anyway does not operate its own server for storing a history of your precise location.
Destination searches
When you search for a place or address, the search may be processed using Apple services such as MapKit. Information handled by Apple is subject to Apple’s privacy policies and service terms.
Saved places and preferences
Saved destinations, recent destinations, unit preferences, appearance settings, and haptic preferences may be stored locally on your devices and may sync between your iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple-provided system services.
Information we collect
Go Anyway does not require you to create an account. The current version is not designed to collect, sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
We do not use your location for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Diagnostics and analytics
Go Anyway does not currently include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Apple may provide developers with aggregated or diagnostic information when users choose to share analytics and crash data with app developers through their device settings.
Data retention
Information stored by the app remains on your devices until you remove it through the app, reset the app’s data, or uninstall the app. Some information may remain in device backups according to your Apple and iCloud settings.
Your choices
- You can change or revoke location access in the Settings app on your iPhone.
- You can delete saved or recent destinations from within Go Anyway when those controls are available.
- You can uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from the device, subject to backups managed by Apple.
Children’s privacy
Go Anyway is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We design Go Anyway to minimize data collection and rely on Apple platform protections for information stored on your devices. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through the App Store listing.
