Common questions
Why is the arrow inaccurate or slow to update?
Move away from large metal objects, magnets, vehicles, and dense electronic equipment. Make sure Compass Calibration is enabled under iPhone privacy settings. Holding the device level and walking briefly can also improve heading accuracy.
Why does Go Anyway need my location?
Your current location is needed to calculate the direction and distance to the destination. Depending on the navigation behavior supported by the current app version, “Always” or background location access may be needed while the screen is off or while the Apple Watch experience is active.
Why is navigation not updating on Apple Watch?
Confirm that Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi are enabled, the watch is paired, and Go Anyway has location permission. Open the app on both devices once, then retry the destination. Restarting both devices can clear a stalled connection.
Can I use the app without an Apple Watch?
Yes. Go Anyway supports navigation on iPhone. Apple Watch is encouraged for glanceable navigation, but it is not required.
Does Go Anyway provide turn-by-turn directions?
No. Go Anyway intentionally provides a direction and remaining distance rather than a calculated route or turn-by-turn instructions.
Is Go Anyway a replacement for safety or emergency navigation?
No. Use good judgment and remain aware of streets, traffic, terrain, weather, restricted areas, and local conditions. For emergencies or situations requiring a verified route, use an appropriate mapping or emergency service.
